Ensembles
Symphony Orchestra
Symphony is the oldest and most advanced group and is treated like professional training. It includes strings, winds, and percussion, and is comprised of students from middle school to college level. Symphony offers a challenging and rigorous orchestral experience in a fun and fast-paced setting. Music selection goes beyond standard repertoire to expose symphony players to works written specifically for young orchestras and world premieres of commissioned works.
Chamber Orchestra
The Chamber Orchestra is an intermediate group for the developing musician including both strings and winds, and is comprised of students from elementary to high school levels. Chamber provides the young player an opportunity for development between early string experience and full symphony involvement. The Chamber Orchestra allows young musicians a chance to build on their developing musicianship and leadership skills in preparation for Symphony.
Chaconne Orchestra
Chaconne Orchestra is a string orchestra of students from elementary school to middle school age and is designed to give younger players a great introductory orchestra experience while emphasizing the fundamentals. Chaconne nurtures the youngest orchestra musicians in a non-competitive environment where players focus on musicianship and the pleasure of creating music from notes on the page. Conductor Paul Rowinski inspires in his kids the fun and joy of playing orchestral arrangements together.
Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble was formed in 2008 and features winds and percussion from the Chamber and Symphony Orchestras. This exciting group, led by conductor Erik Johnson, performs exciting pieces from the wind repertoire and often features prominent brass and percussion parts.
