Announcing the Ignaugural Season of the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestras
We are excited to introduce the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestras, the premiere youth orchestra experience in Boulder and the surrounding area!
Celebrating its inaugural year with the 2010-2011 season, this new organization is under the combined artistic staff of both the Boulder Youth Symphony and the High Plains Youth Orchestra.
Bringing together the Boulder Youth Symphony and the High Plains Youth Symphony, formerly the leading youth orchestras of the Boulder area, GBYO will propel young musicians in Colorado to the next level of musical greatness, performing significant orchestral repertoire in addition to creating other opportunities to perform and learn about music.

BYS Support of Public School Music Programs
The Boulder Youth Symphony, as a participant in a community-wide effort to provide opportunities for in-depth music education to the widest number of students, is in full unwavering support of all public school music programs.
The BYS recognizes the dedicated effort on the part of public school music teachers to involve, educate, and expose all students to the richest music education possible.
Beginning in the fall of 2009, the BYS will not admit any NEW student without written confirmation of their public school music teacher that they are participating in their public school music program.
It is the intention of the BYS to enthusiastically support ALL music education programs for children.
